Ko wai au — About

Healing that begins with whakapapa, not symptoms.

Kia ora koutou. I am Tony, a rongoā practitioner based in Invercargill, Southland. My practice weaves together mirimiri bodywork and romiromi deep release — each session opened and closed with karakia.

Rongoā sees the person as whole: tinana (body), hinengaro (mind), wairua (spirit) and whānau. Whether you arrive carrying pain, stress or simply the weight of a busy life, our work together is to gently restore your mauri — your life force — to balance.

  • Trained in traditional mirimiri & romiromi under kaumātua guidance
  • Rongoā Māori practitioner grounded in tikanga and te ao Māori
  • 10+ years walking alongside whānau on their hauora journey

Ngā Ratonga — Services

Sessions shaped around what your body carries.

Every session begins with a kōrero about where you are at, and closes with karakia. Sessions run Monday to Friday.

MirimiriBasic Alignment& Balance

An energy exchange spoken in a gentle, intentional language — basic alignment using the body's energy points, known as haemata, to clear and rebalance the flow of mauri, calming the nervous system and restoring ease through the tinana.

90 mins$140 NZD

Deep Romiromi Transformation

Deep energy-point alignment releasing held blockages, restoring circulation and easing what the body holds, grounded in traditional tikanga and karakia.

Te Tikanga — The Approach

Ancient practice, held with care for modern life.

“He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata.”

What is the most important thing in the world? It is people, it is people, it is people.

Karakia & Wairua

Each session is opened with karakia, creating a safe and sacred space. Healing happens on every level — physical release is only the beginning of what can shift when the wairua is tended to.

Mirimiri & Romiromi

Mirimiri is an energy exchange — a gentle, intentional language — clearing and rebalancing the flow of mauri through the body, calming the nervous system and easing what the wairua carries. Romiromi goes deeper: firm, purposeful energy-point work that releases what the tinana has been holding, often for years. Both are practised on the table, fully clothed, and always at your pace.
